Is Aasure a good Fresha alternative for a UK salon?
For independent salons that already have their own client base, yes. As salon booking software, Aasure gives you your own booking page and your own client list. You pay a flat monthly fee, with no commission or new-client fee. What you give up is marketplace discovery, which matters most to newly opened salons.
Can I take deposits on treatments?
Not yet. Card payments and deposits are on the way, but they are not live today. For now, you can record a payment by hand, as cash or other, against the booking. Email reminders already go out for every online booking, and a freed slot is offered to your waitlist automatically.
Will my clients have to download an app?
No. Online booking for salons should not need an app. Clients book through a web link you can put in your Instagram bio, on Google or in a text message. There is nothing to install and no account to create before they can book.
Can I move my existing client list across?
Yes, and you can export it again whenever you want. Your records might sit in a paper appointment book, a hairdresser diary app or another salon software platform. Either way, the client list is your asset. If you leave Aasure, you take your data with you.
