This page explains exactly how to delete data from Aasure, whether you want to disconnect one account such as a Microsoft Outlook calendar, delete your whole Aasure account, or have your data removed as a client of a business that uses Aasure.
1.Disconnect a connected account
Use this if you connected a calendar such as Microsoft Outlook to Aasure and want us to stop accessing it and delete what we hold from it.
In Aasure
- Microsoft Outlook calendar: go to Business › Staff, open the staff member whose calendar is connected and choose Disconnect calendar.
When you disconnect, Aasure immediately:
- asks the provider to revoke Aasure's access, where the provider supports it;
- permanently deletes the access tokens and other credentials we stored for that account;
- stops all reading from and writing to that account.
Bookings already added to your calendar stay there, because they now belong to that calendar. Delete them there if you want them gone. Aasure's own records of bookings stay in your Aasure account until you delete them or your account.
At the provider — you can also remove Aasure's access directly, even without logging in to Aasure:
- Google: myaccount.google.com/connections › Aasure › Delete all connections.
- Microsoft: account.live.com/consent/Manage (personal) or myapps.microsoft.com (work or school) › Aasure › Remove.
Removing access at the provider stops Aasure from using it. To also delete the credentials we stored, disconnect in Aasure or email us as described in section 4.
2.Delete your Aasure account or business
Deleting your personal user account. Go to Account › Security › Delete account. If you still belong to a business, leave it or transfer ownership first. Deleting your account removes your profile, sign-in methods and sessions.
Deleting a business. Email us from the business owner's account email (section 4) and ask us to delete the business. We close it straight away. All its data (clients, bookings, staff, emails, files, websites, connected accounts and settings) is kept for 30 days and then permanently deleted, except a minimal record that a business with that ID existed and any billing records we must keep by law. A deleted business cannot be reopened.
Deleting individual items. Clients, files, campaigns and similar items you delete are kept for 30 days so you can restore them, then permanently deleted.
Copies in our encrypted backups are overwritten on their normal backup cycle.
3.If you are a client of a business
If you booked an appointment, joined a waitlist or subscribed to emails from a business that uses Aasure, that business controls your data. Please ask that business to delete it. They can delete your client record from Aasure at any time.
If you cannot reach the business, or want our help, email us (section 4). We will forward your request to the business and help it respond.
To stop marketing emails, use the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. It takes effect immediately.
4.Ask us to delete your data
Email contact@aasure.app with the subject "Data deletion request" and tell us:
- the email address on your Aasure account, or the business you booked with;
- what you want deleted (for example, "my Outlook calendar connection" or "my whole account").
We may ask you to confirm your identity. We will confirm receipt within 72 hours and complete the request within 30 days, and we will tell you if the law requires us to keep anything and why.
If you are not satisfied with how we handled your request, contact our Grievance Officer, Suresh Neethimohan, at contact@aasure.app.
